Parental Leave

Our paid parental leave aims to provide parents with a new child the opportunity to achieve their personal, family and professional ambitions.

Parental Leave consists of ten days (80 hours) of paid-time off for full-time employees. For part-time employees on the 24/32-hour work week, the time is pro-rated to 48 or 64 hours respectively.

If parental leave time cannot be taken in a single continuous block of time, employees may elect to break-up this time, subject to the approval of their manager or supervisor.

Employees can only utilize this benefit in conjunction with an approved FMLA leave. Be sure to read the Parental Leave policy, section 7.6, in the Employee guide to Policies and Procedures located on Benesch Connect.

State Paid Leaves

If you need to take a leave of absence and live in a state that offers state paid leave of absence benefits, Lincoln Financial Group (LFG) will administer this for you.

How it works:

  • Easy intake process with LFG:
    • When you file an STD/FMLA any applicable state claims are automatically filed as well.
You do not even need to know what all you may be eligible for; Lincoln will assess this
      and inform you.
  • Convenient payments:
    • All payments will be issued directly by LFG, by your preference (mail or direct deposit).
  • Convenience of having everything under one roof:
    • Having one point of contact in LFG that can educate and give information on all the paid
benefits you may be eligible for. You will not need to file for state leaves on your state’s
website. It will all be done thought LFG.

You can easily report a claim/leave and check its status through MyLincolnPortal.com (first-time users must register using Company Code: AlfredBenesch) or 888.408.7300. (Mon-Fri 8am-8pm EST)
